I'm glad to hear it's just cosmetic damages to both bikes and both of you walked away unscathed.

What year is your friend's SV?

The most important thing is that you are ok and you were able to ride home. It sucks crashing your bike. I know it. Many know it. But you're not hurt. You now see the importance of wearing gear EVERYTIME. You don't know what the ride holds...anything can happen.

Fix the bike, learn from your mistake, and become a better and safer rider.

That sucks about the bikes Alex, but I'm glad you and your buddy are ok! I got out and rode for a while yesterday too. It was a nice day for it.

My friend knows of it but he isn't a big forum poster. If nothing else I would assume he rarely lurks. The guy that totaled is new 750 didn't really want to hear anything.

2005 I believe.

Yeah literally the only thing that didn't get messed up was the tank. Every side of that sucker was gone.

I feel just fine today only the rash on my knee hurts a bit but the knee feels solid as far as the mechanics go. Called my friend and he is in good shape but sore as shit.

We already have a deal that if he ever goes down again I am to get away from him as quickly as possible. His bad luck spreads quickly.

Lol, that's pretty crazy.

I had a wacky morning on 129 yesterday myself. About 3 turns north of Turner's corner, my back wheel slid out. I have no idea why. It isn't even a tight turn, and I was nowhere near the edge of the tire. Maybe there was some small gravel on the road I couldn't see? No clue.

At any rate, my bike slid from the inside of the lane to the outside, caught hard, and tank slappered my Ulysses down into the ditch on the right. I rode it out quite a ways before the bike finally bucked me off. Fortunately there were a bunch of people with me, and we were able to push it back up onto the pavement. I rode away with a broken turn signal, a broken driving light, and a cracked hand guard.
