So my co worker/friend Jeremy was heading into work on monday morning and turned around since he didn't feel so good. He happened to home the same way I go to work.

I started describing how I lost my lunchbox and how my wife found it. He described the exact location of the lunchbox and the other bungee cord.

You need to find another way to carry your stuff. Someone I knew ended up doing a 100 yard slide with the rear wheel locked, because her saddlebags got jammed in the spokes.

A guy that worked on my team down in FTL bungeed his backpack to the back of his bike. Parked his bike in the parking garage one day to find that his back pack wasn't there, which contained his new $3K ThinkPad. Went out back on I-95 to find it in a hundred pieces, all over 2-3 lanes. He was a fat slob dork, so it made it amusing.

I'm not a fan of using a backpack on a bike, in any way. They aren't shaped right to be bungied to the tail. If they're worn on the back, then they have a nasty habit of flipping the rider over onto his face in a slide. Properly made luggage is readily available, generally safer, and not all that expensive considering the possible alternatives.
