That makes me sad. I want a Monster 796 as the next bike I buy after the one im thinking about getting here soon.

Just as reliable as their sportbike counterparts, I'd imagine. Same wrenching as well.

I have never owned a Honda, but I like the looks of the CB more than the ZX. The ZX has a bunch of bodywork hanging off of it that I don't care for.
Are you talking about the faired Ninja 1000 or the naked Z1000??? The Z1000 is the ultimate torque hooligan wheelie bike. As far as the honda goes I've heard nothing but good things, and of course honda quality and reliability... I like the looks of the Kawi better, but both look good.

The naked Z1000 is what I was talking about. But, I don't like all the plastic they have hanging on it, though.

What about the Speed Triple?

Aside from the Hyper/Monster, these three are my favorites:

Honda CB1000R
Triumph Speed Triple
Kawasaki Z1000

I want a naked bike that sits me upright. I love the riding position of my Husky, which is why I looked toward the Hypermotard.

I thought zoomie said she liked the Speed Triple in one of my threads. I haven't looked back at it yet.

The hyper is so much like your Husky, don't you want something a little different? If you are going Duc, how about the Multistrada? Good all-rounder... upright too.

Most rags have the Fz1 down on power, power isnt as accessible, and lacking in suspension to the Z/Ninja...

Still a good option though.

This. Buddy has a FZ1 and it has good power... at 7k, dead below that.

I really liked the Speed tripple, if I wanted something more hooligan/around town it would be on my short list. Long highway rides, I like more wind protection, but otherwise the ergos are great and it's ridicously fun to ride.

I would vote hyper over monster. And, speed triple is a good choice in my book.

I like the hyper over the monster as well. The only issue is that it's $3000 more. The regular hyper 1100 isn't available in the US, only the SP. When you talk shot monthly payments, it's not much more per month, though.

What do you mean, not available? We had a helluva time finding an SPS... for the price, and what you get, I'd go SPS
