I grew up in Tornado Alley, that wouldnt phase me at all. As a kid I used to go storm chasing with a pro. Fun times. The hurricanes didnt bother me either (other than the lack of power for days and days), I just wish I could have stayed through at least one but I always had to evac.

Funny though, I still don't think I've ever seen a tornado with my own eyes. We used to have them frequently when I lived out in West Texas, but they almost always came at night so I either slept through them or just couldn't see where they were. And when we lived closer to the Gulf Coast, we were far enough inland that we never had to evac.

I lived within 5 minutes of the beach when I lived in FL. My ex was military too so we were ordered to evac after the planes were evac'ed to another base. |

I have stayed through a couple of hurricanes growing up on the toe of Louisiana. Just like a really bad storm mostly. It's cool when the eye passes over and you see storm clouds all around you and sun shining through. The wind is effing crazy though.
