Ahh but if he wasn't in the picture that bike could have taken the title in its first year...

Maybe so... But would Max have been inspired to ride so hard if Vale wasn't bugging the shit out of him?

Well pretend Rossi and Burgess had not been there, dropped out whatever. Yamaha and Biaggi had seen the limit of their development and that same year Honda fielded a horde of RCVs due to Rossi being at Yamaha, which we are pretending didnt happen.

does max win that title??Not sure.

I say the bike was there due to Rossi signing and his feedback. I say they won the title that year due to Yamaha taking a new direction under Burgess and Rossi's input. The success of the cross plane had alot to do with Burgess' tuning on Rossi's feedback. No Rossi, no cross plane, no Burgess, no championship, IMHO.

Yeah, God forbid the racers have any personality...

Rossi and Burgess brought a lot of meat to the table, seasoned to Rossi's tastes.

What's good for the goose, is not necessarily good for the gander.

Yeah, but that's old news.

Edwards drives me crazy. He's fast in practice, and fast in qualifying, but he can't hang in races anymore.

The boy was born to fade.
