I really wish I was better with come backs. I always think of things a day later!

I'm at my son's ballgame a few weeks ago. Drove there straight from work on the bike. I'm sitting on the bleachers with helmet and jacket beside me. One of the dads from my son's team gets there late. After sitting there a few minutes he starts asking me questions.

"Did you ride a motorcycle?" ME: Yes

"All by yourself?" ME: Yes

"Did you change gears and EVERYTHING?" ME: Yes

I couldn't help but laugh, he wasn't trying to be mean. He was flabbergasted and did NOT UNDERSTAND. I am thinking he probably doesn't get out of his small town much.

I told my husband the answer to question number 3 should have been, "They have more than one gear???"

Being old and irritable, anymore, when people look at me and ask, "Do you ride a motorcycle?" I look them straight in the eye and ask, "You don't?"

I honestly get tired of the same questions from people...."that's YOUR bike?" "You're not scared of it?" "How fast does it go?" "Ain't that bike too big for you?" "You rode that here???" (although I love the expressions people make with this one)......

I went to a job interview the other day on the bike. I got a little rained on, nothing big....just enough to get the top of my pant legs a little wet. The lady who interviewed me had this combined look of astonishment and horror and said, "You rode all the way here in the rain???" Without thinking, I said, "Yep....and all by myself too!" A smartass comment is not the way to start an interview, but I must have really impressed her. I thought I completely bombed the interview but got a call back the next day with the job offer. (Now I'm just waiting for my background check to be completed which I'm worried about because I have horrible credit).

I dunno, my Honda was assembled in Ohio, so is it really a Japanese bike? And didn't they move the assembly of the softails that were built in York to Mexico? Does that make them Mexican bikes? Do they also come standard with some swine flu?

Hey... still run push rods on allot of american v-8s too. The push rods contribute a great deal to the sound.

The rest of it abt victory and duc... too funny.
