my 3G has taken a beating so it will probably get replaced with a refurb'd 3GS over the next couple months. It would be nice to be able to muti-task.

eh, it can be helpful if you have a laptop and want to surf and don't have wifi nearby, but you do have cell service. I plan to use it a lot when I go on my cross country trip.

I'm sure its useful to people, but probably wouldn't be for me.

yeah, thats useful too, but it would cost some of us more where tethering is free.

That works too but you're paying ~ $50/month vs free to $10 for tethering.

Never had a problem finding wifi...or I just use my BB. Certainly wouldn't be a deal breaker for me.
