I usually say something to myself in my helmet before I throw a leg over about having a safe ride and comign home in one peice WITH my bike.
Before I left for Suches I gave the bike a quick rider/bike talk about behaving on the trip and being a good girl for me...She responded quite nicely and ran like a top...I gave her a pat on the tank when she got home. I talk to all my vehicles...Im like Marty Mcfly in Back to the Future...

Normally this would be right up my alley but I don't do this. Maybe my superstitious ritual is that I don't have a ritual.

fuck'n crazy ass... the only ritual I have is forgetting to secure my helmet riding .2-1.7 miles away realizing it... and pulling over and securing it. it's a contagious ritual though... the whole ride home from GA Rae was copy'n me... |

I behead a rooster, crack an egg and run 3 times counterclockwise around the bike.
By now, I am running low on roosters and my hens are complaining.... I didn't do it yesterday and today my boob is hurting (note to self: one tree at a time) - that should be proof enough! If you don't believe me, I'll take a pic of a cream colored hen on my bike with a black cat next to it.

I put on my gear and make sure it's all on right...other than that, even riding 2-up I get on the bike from the left side (throwing my right leg over)...dunno why. I'll actually walk around the bike to do it too...
That and I take the tankbag everywhere...even if my ID is in my pocket. I guess I'm hoping for a good sale somewhere...lol |
