and as for trusting... them... I do... I'm gonna have it done when I get to Keesler.

to each their own... well worth it to me.

oh and yeah Colorado is much better than MS... but you'd save your Perdiem usually around $100 a day... by stay'n with me... and you'd have transportation... but up to you.

First, you forget the diff between Active Duty and AGR.
I would have to be put on DTS orders to recieve travel/per diem. Not going to happen for a voluntary surgery.
Second. I don't have a "base" I'm on TriCare Remote, meaning I use local civilian hospitals. Don't know if that would work or not.
And most places say you have to get a checkup every year or they won't be responsible for anything if you miss that checkup.
As for transpo, I'd get a rental. It's reimbursable

Lastly... HOLY SHIT where are you going to get $100/day in per diem!?!?!
The MOST I've ever gotten was $48/day. (Maybe because I already get BAS/BAH)

Anyway, it's something I'll have to figure when I get back.

well every AGR person I've dealt with went through the same process as the active duty... NOTHING was different. if you need different orders then yeah that would be out of my "view" of the situation.

Second you're base would be the base that refered you to the surgery site. if you don't have a base near you, you're considered Tricare Prime Remote. in that case you'd PROBABLY have to go to the nearest base, have the optometry department do the workup as the military requires different things than the civilian side does (even branch to branch it's different). OR you'll have to get your checkups at the local optometrist that you get your referral from.

as for transportation... you may not be allowed it. it's not always included on the orders... in fact... less than half of all the Aerovac's I did were authorized a rental... that everything not just the optical surgery cases.

Perdiem is higher in cities... Seattle(McChord AFB) is like $120... Colorado Springs (Air Force Academy) is like $110... Vacavile CA (Travis AFB) is like $110... I think San Antonio(Lackland AFB) is $100... Biloxi is probably less... but I'd guess it's over $70.

honestly not try'n to push it... just wanna make sure you really know what's involved... it's not as difficult as you seem to think...

Like I said... I did this for Army, Air Force, and a few Navy... Active, Guard, Reserve, and AGR.

price depends... you talk'n about beer? I have no idea... don't drink the stuff... Dlit could tell ya...

Liquor... a decent sized redbull and vodka is about 4000won... a Pint of a drink they call White Dog, soju, some Japanese liquor, and sprite, is 7000won... but it's fuck'n huge... the catch is it's very DRY... so it makes you thirsty... and will fuck you up
It was $2.50 for a huge beer. I'd go out with $40 (they take American and give you back won for change) and come back utterly shitfaced and still have change to stuff my face with chicken on a stick or Miss Kim burgers.
