Yea you got the non-mesh version... The mesh version lets ALL the air through. It has VERY sturdy armor but I would definitely put it in the better than nothing/just for cruising around category of protection.

There is a fault in the design on this jacket. There is no armor in the upper shoulders. There's an external pad and a metal plate. The plate covers below the shoulder and the ext pad covers more of the top of the shoulder. Nothing is there at the pivot. I'll snap a shot.

It's itchy at first cause its moving your hair around. Then you just get used to it.
The TiMax does have a good feature I like which isnt in my other jackets. Plastic snaps for the insert. Metal ones clamp too tight and you end up ripping them out. |
