Yea you got the non-mesh version... The mesh version lets ALL the air through. It has VERY sturdy armor but I would definitely put it in the better than nothing/just for cruising around category of protection.

There is a fault in the design on this jacket. There is no armor in the upper shoulders. There's an external pad and a metal plate. The plate covers below the shoulder and the ext pad covers more of the top of the shoulder. Nothing is there at the pivot. I'll snap a shot.

So are you wearing the A* Bionic shirt? I have the Dainese version but it gets really hot and would kinda defeat the purpose of wearing a mesh jacket.

how is the mesh material... the one I got, can't remember the brand... but the mesh material is crazy itchy...

It's itchy at first cause its moving your hair around. Then you just get used to it.


The TiMax does have a good feature I like which isnt in my other jackets. Plastic snaps for the insert. Metal ones clamp too tight and you end up ripping them out.

naw the one I have is itchy because of the seams... and it's kinda a harsh plastic feeling material...

figured they'd use under armor type stuff
