Uma's new Fiesta will have that completely keyless setup... not sure I can even have a remote start installed. That is the on ehurdle I'm not sure of, second is that it's a stick and the installer has to bypass the clutch safety switch.

It's different because there's no way in hell the original owner would ever recover it. Even if he remembered dropping a dollar, he's not going to bother going back to find it on a busy street. If you don't take it, someone else will, so it might as well be you.

My point which you appear to have locked in on the example and missed is that we as a society rationalise "theft" up to a certain point. The question is where is that acceptable limit?
