I don't feel stronger about politics. As long as he isn't extreme about politics, either side, I think I'd be fine with it.
As for religion, I am a Christian and he needs to be Christian to have a serious relationship with me. |

It wouldnt be an issue for me. The only problem I could see is when it came to raising children if I really dissagreed with her ideas.

There are some issues that I couldn't see past....not necessarily because of the issue but rather that the person that would believe the opposite of me is probably not my kind of desirable partner anyways. |

I often date girls who share my political view but often times because someone's political view can show what they prioritize. I don't think I could date a communist/socialist because I feel they find stealing other people's stuff for the good of others is good. Seems her philosophy would bleed over into the personal lives.
My girl has no real political philosophy. She's from Chicago and didn't vote because she didn't like McCain or Obama. She said her mom voted for Obama I believe but voted for Bush the 1st time and her dad is a libertarianesk. But she sides with the libertarian side when we discuss politics. Now if a girl can't discuss politics or other interesting subjects then she's just plain fuckign boring to me.

I think it has less to do with what each person's views are and more to do with 1) the ability to have a rational discussion without getting personal or pissed off, 2) and how competitive each person in the relationship is. Two people can disagree but if they both get all worked up and personally invested in the argument it will be a constant pain in the ass. Additionally, if both people have to "win" any argument in which they are involved it will again result in a constant pain in the ass.

When I met my wife she voted mostly to the left and could not really explain why, if she took the time to vote at all. Now that she has been around me for a while she votes mostly to the right but actually know who and why she is voting one way or the other.
To be honest she was just not really into it much till I pointed out some things that she did not like about one party over the other. She now pays more attention and will even talk with people about it. Personally I don't care how she votes as long as its a informed vote and it is now but it was not before I was around. I did not push her in one direction but as we talked about it she started to paid enough attention that she now has a more informed opinion. Her views on fire arms has done a complete 180 she went from not even letting her boys have toy guns around the house to having a sone that got his first deer this year and she is even thinking of taking a CCW class even though she does not want to carry. She told me, "I'd like to know how to operate a gun if I come acrossed one and if I ever need one I want to already know how to use it, its just a good idea." I just smiled. (Cause I just got the OK to buy some new fire arms.) |

I've never really dated a political person... ONSSP is apolitical. For me, intelligence is way more important than opinion. If ONSSP decided to be a raving liberal... whatever... as long as she can speak intelligently and is well informed, she can have whatever dumbass POV she wants. The sexiest thing that ever came out of her mouth was when she told me she didn't vote because she didn't know enough about either guy to make a good decision. |

Some men like brains in a woman. Others prefer big tits.
