I'm with you... I have ahard tome feeling sorry foe people who's pets are hit by cars doe the same reason. If the dog had been taken care of this couldn't have happened.

Like any other large wild mammal, deer will f* you up along with most domestic dogs. I would say there are few dogs that can handle large game like them...deerhounds, greyhounds, wolfhounds...ummm thats about it. If you think your pit or rott can protect themselves against a 150/200(or more)lbs white tail, think again. They will get trampled, they will not know what to do.
With that said, if it were my dog(like everyone else says)that deer would get a swift kick in the ribs, then I would be more than likely protecting myself from those holves lol |

Hooves are sharp. Somebody tol me a story of their friend gettig cut up by an animal wih hooves. Wish i could remember. It sliced open his whole inside thigh.

Venison is good. I tend to stick with the Does since bucks can get gamey taste; especially in rut. Deer jerky is very very very good. Just takes forever to make.
