Cat. I don't have the time or patience for dogs anymore, and I've had a lot of them. At least with a cat you don't have to get up and take them out, and you don't have to kennel them to leave for the weekend. Leave a cat a clean litter box, giant bowl of food and plenty of water and you are good to go....until you get back and the cat won't leave you alone for a week. I had dogs for almost 2 decades...and cats are only as smart as you encourage them to be. I had one I had to call like a dog who was indoor/outdoor and actually thought she was a dog. If you called her like a cat she would look at you funny...

Umm...hate to break it to you..but the dog is just showing love so you keep on feeding him.
Dog...cause they are much cooler pets.

Cat, and my cats (i have 4) are VERY personable. My one male has to be in the same room with me at all times and loves to get smacked around, cries like a little girl then begs for more. My black female plays fetch and brings the toy back to you like a dog. I dont have to let them out (THANK GOD for my litter robots. best invention ever). They do shed like crazy but so do dogs.

pug
I live with a cat now and i am really not too impressed with her, she is pretty affectionate but most of the time, pretty elusive. Not that i do it, but she gets fed and per poop gets cleaned and you can't even get her to come to you or sit on you for any length of time. too much work- too little return. My now dog, granted all that i have ever taken care of was pugs, mine and fosters, are always right by me, cuddles with me until i get up, sleeps with me, and goes out/travels with me. Sure its a little inconvenient at times such as, i can't go travel for months oversees because i won't leave her with anyone else other than my mom for a few days, but she is worth it. |
