the only problem is WHO decides what is inappropriate for the child. that would be the parent. so what you and I may consider inappropriate may not be to them.

it's their child and, for better or worse, their the judge of what's best for them and what is inappropriate.

it's not the teacher's or anyone else's opinion that matters it's the parents.

as for the pussification of america... come on... we're talking about children. I"m sure Derf doesn't give a fuck what words we use around him... it's his kids that he's protective of... get a fucking grip guys... kids are very impressionable, at that age they're still learning what things mean, shit like that from a teacher enforces stereotypes and ignorance.

Aw you missed my point, I hate when parents get angry about what a teacher says but uses the same or similar terms themselves at home. Or allows their kids to watch programs/listen to music that use that type of language... You know, like he's pissed that the teacher said "damn" in class but he watched "Snakes on a Plane" with the kids last weekend or just downloaded the newest Lil' Wayne album for his daughter...

I understand your point... but again, it's the parent's choice as to where it's ok and not ok...

IMO a teacher's usage of verb-age or actions caries a lot more weight than an actor on TV or a artist on the radio...

Anyway, I never brought the letter in, got side tracked doing other house work. I am going to change it though to reflect the fact that the teacher was yelling at the class for telling on her. Apparently some other parents did go in and complain and the teacher was talked to. She then turned around and blamed the class for telling on her.

Strange. I looked at the letter and was more concerned about other shit. Is the teacher unable to control the class to the point where it bothers your daughter? Are we still dumbing down kids with standardized testing? Seems the teacher letting these little retards know where they're going to end up is the least concerning thing.
