It seemed to me that "Canadian" was a pretty tough demographic to nail down....Toronto is a perfect example....lots of Pakistanis....Indians...Chinese....Koreans....Phii pinos....but I'm not sure how many of them thought of themselves as "Canadians?"

As with anything I'm talking about "on average." Any broad statement can fall apart if broken down to the level of the individual. Even so, and though many people who came here tend to think of themselves as hyphenated-Canadians, they are proud to be here.

I love the cold weather, or such as it gets down here... but I feel no shame wearing a heavy jacket and a couple of layers when it's in the 30's or below.


Speaking of which, I think I'll get out the grill one more time this weekend... probably won't have time or want to mess with it later this month or next with the move coming up.

I feel no shame in wearing Helly Hansons when I go to take out the garbage. We get days in winter that are 0~C, we wear a thin long sleeve shirt, or a hoodie at best. Then theres the days where its -44C, with the wind blowing at 50kmh on top of that. Those days, you put on the real winter gear, long underwear, warm clothes, helly's, Balaclava's, mitts, and hats with ear flaps.

You can dress for the cold, its the heat I hate, since im a ginger of the sun burning variety.
