The guy is not the first owner. He bought the bike in May.

He has hardly ridden the bike.

He doesn't want it because he's not comfortable sitting on it (6'5" guy).

It's his first bike.

The ODO reads about 18442 (there's a pic of it coming).

There's a scuff on the tail section.

The can is a Scorpion.

The guy says it's from the previous owner hanging his helmet on the bike.

That is believable. The bike does not look like it has been down on either side.

The previous owner had all maintenance done at the dealer in Lincoln, NE (the same one that sold me the bike with the cracked engine block and told me to pound sand).

Personally, I think his asking price is a bit high.

I've tooled around on an SV1000 before, it was a nice bike. Comfortable. The power was very controllable in my opinion

Yeah, the chain looks a little unkempt. It did have some gunk on it, like it may have been lubed in the past. Just judging by the owner's nonchalant attitude and lack of interest in riding, I'd guess he's never done a bit of maintenance on the bike, and he's had it since May.

I'm anal about taking care of my crap. My SV looked brand new when I sold it, and it was pushing 10,000 miles.

I never did have him start the bike; totally forgot to have him do that.

Would I buy it? Probably not. But, like I said, I'm picky about stuff.

If I were to be in the market for that bike, I'd maybe offer him $2500-$2800, if he provided legit maintenace records. There's no way I'd pay $3500 for it.

Speaking of maintenance records, he mentioned that he might be able to get them from the previous owner, who had all work done by that dealer I mentioned.

I have more pics going up of luggage, a new rear tire, etc. It's all included in the deal, he says.

The bike has Shinkos on it, the back one is pretty flat, so he doesn't do twisties. The new rear tire is also a Shinko.
