i agree with the original post. almost makes not as fun to watch knowing you have to watch him suffer through speech so hard.

that said i did not watch this year, because last year was the same way.

Yeah, same here. Everyone keeps talking about how they can't possibly let him do it again next year after how aweful this year was. IT WAS WORSE IN 2009!! He was at least a second behind each number in the countdown last year.

Hopefully they will get enough flack for how sad it is this year and will ask him to retire. I don't know who they would get to replace him, but it's just sad.

He talks like a retard but he looks great for his age. ABC never should have let him host after his stroke. He must still get the ratings or they wouldn't have him on.

They were talking about this on the radio this morning pretty much saying exactly what we all are - it's sad, he needs to stop. However, they said they can't make him quit, that he actually owns the rights to the show. It is after all, Dick Clark's New Year Eve countdown. So to force him out they would have to buy out his show and my guess is there are contracts with the show and they haven't expired yet.
