Thanks guys.

I hate weims. They are one of my least favorite breeds. Too hyper and require WAY too much training (typically) to be a good match for me.

Rotts are considered a vicious breed by many landlords, so they are out. Boxers sometimes are as well but they just arent my style.

I dont want something aggressive, just something that would be a deterrent in the event of a home intruder or someone harassing me when I am out walking. My dog is something less of a deterrent. The cat might eat someone tho, but I dont see myself walking the lil monster.

Besides being large, I have never considered a dane intimidating. Every one I have known basically was the most lovable dog ever and terrible at protecting anything because they scare easily. My uncle's neighbor had the biggest chicken dane I ever knew. My aunts little shih tzus use to chase it. It was hilarious.

We had 4 great danes when I was growing up Rae, they are the most awesome dog evar!!!

There are some downsides to them though...

They'll eat you out of house and home, our 165lb male ate 50lbs of dry food every week-week and a half plus all the table scraps and if there weren't enough scraps mom would boil a chicken to add to the diet.

Once they're about 4 months old, until they're well trained, they'll take you for a walk

They have a short life span, common inlarge breeds. 10 yrs or so is normal.

Upsides are...

They are great pets, even in the house and good with kids.

They are VERY protective of their family and you will never have to worry about someone hurting you if it's around!

And they're just awesome!!! I love Great Danes, I wish I could afford one myself. We had the fawn colored ones, what's your color choice if you get one?

What about Dobies as a guard dog? Dane's are cool, but they are massive!

Get a brinks!

My breeder has a new litter of pups.

Boys

Girls

We considered a Great Dane but honestly they just dont live long enough.

Cane Corso is a great version of a mastiff. Live 10-12yrs. The dry mouth and atheletic mastiff. He was the cutest of cute of puppy. You all saw that. Females are about 95-115 lbs. Males from 130-160lbs.

My breeder also is very use to shipping dogs. I could even go pick one out for you if need be. Feel free to call me for any reason.

Here's a question: Why the FUCK do dogs only live 10 or 12 years? Seriously. Why?

because the world is a cruel, cruel place.

It really sucks, that's for sure.

I miss my shepherd something fierce (though he lived to 13-14)

Still 14 years isn't that long of a life. They should live longer.

Would you feel better if they included a warranty?
