For commuting if I got 100 miles out of a tank, I could go an entire week without putting gas in it.

I would keep the bike I have now but make some touring mods like a rack and some hard cases like this one below. Maybe some bar risers, heated hand grips and a bigger windshield. Other then that the bike is perfect for me.

i've had my SV for seven years, and i don't see myself replacing it any time soon... It's light, nimble, reliable, comfortable, and does everything i want it to. Only problem i can't (reasonably) overcome is tank capacity/range.

I considered a hyper, but it would never be my only bike, especially for not such a long lenth of time.

The seat is a dirt bike, seat. It won't be comfortable beyond short hops. The weight is way too heavy for it's class, it's not a motard, it's a naked sportbike that pretends to be a motard.

For you it wouldn't be bad, but the gas issue would kill me, 100 mile range would seriously limit my riding area. And hyper riders consider that a stretch. 80 is more of a realistic number here based on the info I have seen on it.

It's a fun bike, but it has a lot of negatives that limit riding time. It would have to be a trailer to where you want to ride bike for me, that's for sure.

Growing up on dirtbikes and spending the majority of my adult life on a dirtbike, the seat never bothered me. I don't ever plan on doing an touring so that isnt a problem. The 2-3 hour group ride or quick commuting would be 95% of it's use. I agree it's a motard wannabe and is really just a naked bike, but you know I rode that naked Kawi and the weight never bothered me.

Yeah, I just see it as a stable bike. It would be one of those really nice bikes that would be awesome to have if you had the money for several, but never as a the one and only. Just the feeling I got from riding it.

I have had my busa for 2 years now, and I will probably have it for alot longer than 10 years.

One thing I notice about anyone who has ever had a busa before, then got rid of it for one reason or another.
They all say it is the best bike they have owned, and they always want another one.
