You need help in reading more than math. I didn't say that .999999... = 1.19999... I said it uses the same principle. Had I said to convert .99999.... to a fraction in it's simplest form someone would have google searched .99999... and found out that .9999999...=1 When you calculate the ugly repeating decimal of 1.19999... will get 1& 1/5 or 1.2.
