Cool pics and cool dogs. I've been to the Outerbanks a few times and enjoyed it alot. Relaxing place for sure.

Definately....although it gets more crowded every year.

BTW...in case anyone forgot: Gas is expensive. And driving 1000 miles round trip sucks.

1000 miles round trip ? Yes that is alot...especially at current gas prices.

We rented a house in the Salvo Beach area...even from where we live in NC it was still almost 700 miles round trip.

Yeah...from Harrisburg PA to Avon, NC it's almost 500 miles. Then we drove about 100 miles around the island (on the beach, to dinner, shopping, etc.) Then 500 back home. Total door to door was 1003.9 miles.

i just got back from driving from camp william UT (south of salt lake)
little over 1200 miles one way.

spent about $370 each way in gas.
