As a kid I collected comics, but leaned more toward DC than Marvel. The Marvel stuff that I read was mostly their war comics (some early X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Silver Surfer). I think that Doctor Fate and The Martian Manhunter would make pretty good movies, going back to the "Golden Age" heroes but if they truck out Billy Batson, I'll burn down every theatre in a 20 mile radius. From the Marvel Comics side, I think that Nova would make for a good movie. Young guy finds a crashed starship with an intergalactic cop in it, who gives him his powers? It could work today, without being too hokey. And Mel Gibson has one last part that he could still get away with playing in a movie; Nobert Sykes, aka "The Badger", a thoroughly insane "superhero." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Badger_%28comics%29

Never was into Thor. I'm sick of the comic book movies they are doing. I would love to see The Sandman on the big screen.

Which Sandman; Golden Age DC, or the Neil Gaiman incarnation of Dream?

Then all of the sibling Endless could be introduced in sequels. The serial killer convention would be a nice side story to see in one of the sequels, as well as his return trip to Hell for his old love. |

Speaking of DC, Animal Man would be another good character to bring to life on the big screen, IMO.
