The more PC the world becomes, the more "hidden" racism becomes. Not everyone grows up in an environment that is "racist' free. If you did, your parents were hippies.

The fact that something like this would even MAKE it to HR speaks to the utterly ridiculous level of political correctness we've been forced to submit to.

Someone acted like an asshole....another took offense to it and called her out on it. End of story, right?

Just got called into the bosses office.

Apparently she thought I was calling her out because I didn't like her and was picking on her.

I said it was only about the comment. Nothing more.

Good for you for saying something! She probably said that to derail the boss that she said something racist.

I always call people out when they say racist things. Most people (especially men) get REALLY mad. Like, "How dare you call ME racist???" mad.

If you don't 'realize' you said something racist then you ought to be happy it's been pointed out to you so you don't do it again!!! Fool!
