I could never do that...just take off and leave everything (good and bad) behind.

I do like what he said in the article though: "You're never going to live up to anyone's expectations, so you might as well live up to your own..."

Given the right motivation I could easily do something like that. If the military cut me and my family left I'd pack up the bike and ride off, it's not that hard to maintain. Hope it never comes to that, I've gotten awful comfortable.
