I always pictured scorpions as desert creatures more so than living in forret type areas.

FYI, the scorpions in TN aren't that poisonous. It's about like getting stung by a bee. I've never seen any of them over here in NC though. I have seen some BIG FREAKIN' spiders though. LOL Some near tarantula sized.
