Nah.. I emptied my backpack at work (I worked part time at CycleGear at the time), put her in the backpack (she was just a kitten, so she fit just fine ), and rode the mile or two to my friend's house. She wasn't freaked out by the experience at all. She's the sweetest cat, too... and for humble beginnings, she's quite the little diva now, haha.

Haha, well at the time I was living in an apartment and being a college student couldn't really afford the pet deposit.. my parents already had 2 cats and 3 dogs.. so she went to my best friend and ended up being named Ophelia.
