Okay, I know I posted in this thread over the weekend, what the hell?
I ordered some Advantage from Amazon( $10 cheaper than petmeds.com). I read up on Capstar and the consensus is that you use that when nothing else works. If for some reason the Advantage doesn't work, I'll worry about it then. My husband now feels horribly guilty for buying the Hartz stuff. He just didn't know. Thanks for all the tips folks! Me and the kitties appreciate it! |

Don't have cats, just four dogs. Use Frontline or Advantage, then mix boric acid powder (or borax) w/carpet fresh and dust the carpets, then vacuum. If fleas leave the animal, the stuff in the carpet gets 'em. Check w/vet about the borax since cats love to lick their paws, etc. It's never bothered the dogs. The first advertisement for "dry" flea control I ever saw was at the vet's office.
Now that you've used the Hartz on them, you'll need to check with the vet as to when you can put the Advantage on them. You don't want to double up on stuff. Also, if you use Advantage, DO NOT use a flea shampoo. Just a good shampoo will do.
