You can still use deadly force AFTER having the RO. They don't ask you to hand over your gun because you are now safe with the RO.

I'm not saying don't get a RO. By all means, get one. Make the biggest paper trail you can, throw up signal flares everywhere! I'm just saying, don't count on it as some sort of security blanket, because it isn't one.

Oh I agree, it does help but it won't stop anyone that doesn't want to obey it.

I helped out my cousin, her boyfriend hit her and so on. It ended with running out of the house toward me with a gun to try to scare me. I didn't move. It turns out it was a bb gun. That didn't work so he came out with bear mace. That didn't work and he wouldn't get close enough for me to get my hands on. He is in trouble all the time so I made a call to the Police because I will have to deal with him and I want the shit on paper.

They would have put a RO against him for me if I would have gave them a statement that night which I didn't do. Myself I didn't care about the RO, they know the stupid he did, thats what I wanted.

Now if he tries to come after me I'm going to take care of it myself.

I don't want to post up too much on-line. This person is ex-GF of one of my friends. She is being crazy, which is am sure is based on jealousy. She has not threatened my life, but she is making life un-pleasant and I am concerned it might escalate.

Thank you all for the replies and PMs.

Oh, in that case, have you thought about fucking her sister??

Sorry! But, I'm actually happier to hear its a woman instead of a man.

Trust me here. Men are easy to handle, because you see them coming. Some women can be just fucking conniving evil. It's no improvement.

Local guy in the news hear had one taken out on him by an ex GF. He violated it a couple of times...got picked up and went to jail.

Hey woman!

I had one, that did it's job. I believe it's one of those questions that should have an automatic yes. I mean, if the question "Should I really call 9-1-1 for this?" gets asked... it's YES.

We are all too afraid to hurt someone's feelings for them being assholes.

It's like me being told that it's rude to call someone rude.
