Here's what I have now, a small Gerber pocket knife that I carry pretty much all the time and my Gerber Multi-Tool that I've had for like 15 years that I carry when I'm working on projects or riding:

The Multi-Tool is a one-hand-open design (the pliers just slide forward and lock into place with the flick of the wrist):

$100? I haven't seen it over $70. And they say it can be opened with a gloved hand which is great for firefighting.

i'd take that Gerber just for the window punch. one more person runs a light or jets out of a parking lot here at me and I'm taking his f$#@g window out. I had forgotten about that here. I used to carry an axle rod in my jacket down here many years ago. I had hoped it would have gotten a little better.
yeah I know I'd get sued and no I probably wouldn't really do it.............probably.

I always have. Even back in school when we technically weren't supposed to (you know, back before metal detectors were common in schools).
It was usually a little pen knife or small lockback or, for a while, a medium sized Case Trapper.
And, you know, even as much as I was picked on, it never occurred to me to use one as a weapon.
It was there for utility and because, the way I was brought up, it was just something a guy was supposed to have on him whenever possible.
