take a dump at each entry to the house. Snakes don't like steaming piles of shit in their house. They will find a cleaner family to obaminate in.

no mice that i'm aware of, havent saw any droppings, set out some poison anyway, but havent saw it disappear any, i thought maybe they were just coming in because its starting to get cool at night

I'm not sure about snakes but if you spread human hair (male works better cause of no dyes) around the house it will keep rodents away.
