Damn man sorry to see that, but at least it seems like you are going to get the better end of the deal and he didn't drive off.

I'd go through the insruance.... god knows the government is gonna take MONTHS to pay out.

though I know this from having a friend wreck my truck... depending on the state... the VEHICLES insurance may be primary... so you'll have to file the claim with them and what every it won't cover... THEN the drivers insurance is liable. that's the way it is in Oregon and AK... damn it

LOL, Now that is a funny post! Your great ebbs. I laughed a good while at that one.

I'm glad cooler heads prevaled and you dont now have to look for a job and new bike parts. I just know me and Shit like this would have me pulling a dude out of his truck and getting me placed under arrest quicker than I can tell my brain "no don't, Wait there maybe another way!"

It was still rideable I hope... No broken levers or anything? Oil leaks?

bent clutch lever, bent rad bracket, broke exhaust seals, scratchs on the can sleeve, scratched mid pipe, gouged left fairing and front, bad end ripped and bent, clip on bent, top triple tweaked

i rode it to the dealer after work and told them goto, the sato pipes are 1197, for microns they were 1189 back in the day so they said they would quote the sato pipes for the repair bill

That blows... but everytime I have ever had a insurance claim... I have made out.

Do the repairs yourself and save a bundle if your insurance will pay out the shop quote straight to you.

Further, where are the pics of the bike itself?

And "pissed off enought to pick up gman's chop"... hey they are SUPER easy to pick up.
