go to Jamaica, that's easy! Stay at a resort for sure where everything's included and it's a blast - total party place. Most of the good ones offer trips to all sorts of things like waterfalls, biking, cuba, etc. all for an extra charge. the food is incredible and the drinks are all free.

Rent bikes and go off on your own but I'd be a little careful with that...there are some sketchy area's that I wouldn't want to be.

Montego Bay is where i stayed and it was fine - I hear Negril is much better and more of an all around party area but Montego Bay is like 20-30 minutes from the airport and the other cool places are much further.

Hey thanks for all the input but we're going to Bike Week/Spring Break! Me and the GF might be breaking up this Summer and she has never been to Daytona or Bike Week so... I can go to Jamaica anytime really, Bike Week only comes once a year. Besides, I get a good deal on the hotel room and everything. I stay less than a block away from Seabreeze on A1A on the beach side, in a double, with kitchen for $50 per night...no I am not bullshitting you. So the entire trip is going to cost about $1,000 total. Not bad for almost 2 weeks. Best part is that the new bolt on fun bags should be in service by then!!! Woo hoo!

not the Seabreeze, Seabreeze AVE... The hotel I'm staying in (Daytona Beach Club Oceanfront Inn) was completely renovated in Jan 2008 just before I stayed there last. It's not the Hilton but who hangs out in their room, anyway? Oh and I live in NC...

I'd pick the Caribbean over bike week any day of the week. But I'd pick a time of year that you know it's fairly cheap to go. So if it's expensive during bike week I'd go to bike week and the caribbean later if possible.

Slight thread hi-jack and not sure if this has been addressed. My GF's grandpa owns a beach house in Turks and Caicos. We were thining of taking a trip there in February but I guess I need to get a passport. How long does it take to get a passport once your paperwork is filed? I believe it's a British Island so I'm sure a passport is in order.

About 6 weeks to 3 months, you probably won't get it in time.

Turks and Caicos is a dump, it's a completely shithole. They had a hurricane about 2 years ago that wiped the fucker out. We went to it last year in November and it was just completely depressing.
