There isn't a freaking thing to do today except sit around and be bored. Could have worked on the basement, but didn't get down there yet.

Movie theaters are open today. Normally I hit up a flick or two on Christmas, but been busy today. Was hoping to get things done in time to see Tron and/or True Grit, but it's looking like a no go today.

True Grit was good, saw it last night. I definitely enjoyed it more than the original.

Back on topic: Im visiting my parents in Boynton Beach and I hate that I have to live in the backwater of Panama City. That place sucks.

Saw them both during my week off. You won't be disappointed by either, but neither will win an Oscar.

I liked Tron, it was visually stunning but the story is so0rt of goony. Of course, the same is true of the original. The CGI Jeff Bridges was actually cooler than I thought it would be, although a little plasticky and soulless. Think Beowulf but a real person standing next to hbimslef. Still pretty cool even if only as a concept. I think I'll see it again before it leaves theaters. Michael Sheen was a treat, that guy's good in everything.

Getting back to the thread title, I honestly don't have anything to complain about. This has been an awesome year for me and I couldn't be happier. My son is old enough to talk to and hang out with, my marriage is better than it's ever been, and I'm making a lot of extra money from a better second job (no more pizza delivery.) I got the instructor gig I wanted for two years, I'm a night guard for the colleges for the second job and I'm back in school finishing a class that will give me three associate's degrees. Ulu's health is better than it's been since we had Poot and she's happy at her job. We talk more and have tons of sex, which makes me a happy guy. My house payment is down and the market is getting better in my area. All in all, life is awesome right now. Wish I had some bitches but no, I'm pretty good right now. 2010 has definitely been the year of awesome for me, and I'm very thankful.

I hate that we can't afford the pet deposit at the (soon to be ex) wife's apartment, so I'm stuck with the senile old cat that pisses on everything and won't drink water except out of a glass or the tap. Fucker.

His odds of making it through 2011 are dwindling fast. Hell, at this rate, making it through 2010 will be an achievement for him.

I've got some .45 JHP that will fix that. Just lay down a tarp or something.
