I do something similar, except instead of a ramp I have a craftsman folding bench that I walk up on. It's easier to store and gives me seating....

yep, but I don't have a sportbike and own just high clearance dual sport/adventure bikes, so that's not an issue for me.

my ramp has two chains that attach to the bed of the truck to prevent it from slipping off, what happened to yours? I have tried to pull my ramp off the tail gate, it won't come off.
