i've been very happy with my Ruger pk345, if it were a little smaller i'd make it my carry weapon.... it is so much more balanced and comfortable than my Springfield .40 subcompact with the extended magazine

actually its italian but since you mention russian i also have a baikal makarov as well as a baikal IZH-35 target pistol which is the same type used by the former soviet olympic team and one modded to heck sks. but thats actually a norinco

Another option is an Ithaca model 37 or model 87. Both of those eject out the bottom.

Thats my ruger except its a full size .45acp. My sks, .22 rifles, and mosin for the long stuff. I've got an ar receiver but its not built yet. Thats next.
