I dont know. Latest is if they dont have something in place by next weekend they won't even rush to get it done. They are saying maybe end of August. Once the budget is passed everyone goes home for the summer and I sit here on my duff till Fall.

Nope. We get paid eventually, but the state isn't allowed to spend any money if there is no budget. So that means all state workers go without pay until then. Once it's passed we get all the money we are owed.

Of course! This is my first "budget" as a state worker. I'm used to being on the outside looking in. First of all, during the Rendell administration, there has NEVER been a budget passed on time (June 30). And usually once people stop getting paid, the budget magically appears within a day or two.

So, I've got my fingers crossed. We'll see what happens.
