Yeah, but your PM's are probably about your feelings and what sort of tampons hold your walls better... mine's important.

My son has been diagnosed with Aspergers by several psychologists and I can assure you for all you non believers, it is real.

Steve if you have any specific questions on the subject PM. I have read many books on Apspergers and I deal with my son having it every day of my life. He is extraordinarily smart, very athletic, very big or his age and physically aggressive. He has violent mood swings when things don't go his way. He been on 3 different kinds of medication for it and we came to the conclusion that no medicine is best for him.

The diagnosis is not bullshit.

I may do my ethics term paper on it, i'll let you know.

In the mean time i was talking to some of the doctors in the psych department about it today. I asked them about the mercury poisoning FT brought up and they looked at me like i was retarded. They said its hard to diagnose without clinical observation.

I feel for ya! My son also was bounced for med to med with some pretty serious side effects. I did a lot of research about diet and the condition. We found that with a drastic change in diet, no preservitives, chemicals, or refined sugars we were able to come off the meds. It didn't "cure" all the problems but it did make it managable. May be something you want to look into. Good Luck!!!

I'll say the same for this that I say about Autism: is it really that there are more cases or are we just getting better at diagnosing the problem than we have been in the past?

There is a place in Chicago that takes hair, blood and semen samples to determine what he might be deficient in, in his diet. We are taking him there after a neighbor of ours had really good results from what they found out with him so they recommend it to us. Hopefully it will help James as well.
