so lets say she fails MSF (95+% pass, so my guess is she'll pass) , if she fails you think it's a good idea for her to still get a bike? and she may also rethink that decisoin, pressure from spouses is usually not a good on her making the right decision.

I was on my second bike by the time I signed up and took the MSF course and we bought my girlfriend's long before MSF and taught her to ride it in the back yard.

Its NOT that big a deal, if she wants to buy it before hand.

Personally, if I had to do it all over again I'd make absolutely SURE I had a motorcycle prepped and ready to go so I could go riding on graduation day.

I guess they would hate the fact that my 16 yr old son was riding his baby ninja to MSF every day. Course the kid grew up on bikes so it was a little different for him. I got to stay at class with him and on range days they let me reign him and the other youngster in a little. Not that they did anything wrong they just did things too well and quickly. (they loved that little slalom excercise

) the other young guy rode to class as well.

we rode home one night with one of the instructors in a driving rain and lightning struck a capaitor right over my son's head. He got kudos from the instructor for not flinching on that one. Wish I would have gotten a picture of it. black sky, lightning and a silhoutte of baby ninja. very cool.

Exactly, she's already bought a new jacket, gloves and a helmet. We're gonna run to Cycle Gear when my kevlar jeans are in tomorrow and possibly look at some for her.

Her Dad rides and she grew up with dirt bikes and quads. Plus she's has a scooter, not the same thing but it'll be helpful experience during the balance and maneuvering exercises.

Nope, I think that the 5% that don't pass have something wrong with them!

Shit anyone with an iq over 75 and that has ridden a Spree should be able to pass the MSF course! Besides, if she doesn't pass she still has to pass the driver's test for NC. Which is performed on the same course btw.

Everyone in my class passed. Even the two girls who laid their bikes over.
