Honey, I'm home...
Not that any of y'all actually missed me.. but I'm back from 3 weeks of pre-mobilization training. I'm a few injuries richer, but it was worth it for the amount of training that we got in a short period of time.
I didn't really have the opportunity to take a lot of good pictures.. and the new Kodak ZX-1 I had ordered right before I went to PMT decided to get a short in it and drain batteries within 5 minutes.. so video was pretty much out, too. Not to mention certain things we weren't allowed to photograph.. but I did my best with my limited resources (read: iPhone ). Pic 1 - My best friend for 3 weeks (for the uninitiated.. M4 Carbine w/ ver. 4 Aimpoint CCO "red-dot" sight). Pic 2 - Mark 19 familiarization. Pic 3 - My zero card (don't ask me what happened on my 5th shot group.. got lazy I guess, lol). Pic 4 - Combat Lifesaver (CLS) class, the instructors were demonstrating initiating an IV/Saline lock. Pic 5 - Yours truly.

I'd love one of those Aimpoints, please. Maybe the next time you are in training you could "find" one for me? After all, my taxes helped pay for it.
Welcome back, and as always, thanks. Say, why are you wearing knee pads and the guy behind you isn't? LOL |

You tell me!! Although as I found out Sunday, 3 weeks of zero alcohol means my tolerance dropped significantly. I had one beer at the Saucer with Tracy and was already feeling the effects.

It also creates the backpressure necessary to eject the blank round when you fire blanks (if you don't crank the blank adapter down enough, it'll misfeed a bunch).

Isn't your injury dangerous until it gets fixed? Sorry I actually want to see it, I've never seen one in that state before.
Anyway I'm not an M4 fan to begin with, yes it has all the cool gee wizzz gadgets, is lighter, and shorter/smaller, but I still prefer the old M16, although I prefer some small modifications to make it a little more use friendly, like the front handgrip, and the collapsible butt stock.
