I went and looked at it... but I'm seriously debating this towards the negative. $120 basically OTD. At $30 a tire to swap them out at the little shop with no balenceing which isn't an issue cause I use beads ($45 at HD with balence). That is 4 tire changes I need to break even. Not including I need to modify the unit to use it, and store teh 75# beast somewhere.

So 4 tire changes...
18months riding change rear $30
18months riding change front & rear $60
18months riding change rear $30
=$120 & almost 5 yrs to break even.

Could shorten it by charging buds to do it. (I usually only do 1 maybe 2 a year). Plus the "what if" I scratch up a rim or something stupid. IDK...

Yea maybe not for you then... in 18 months I've done at least two fronts and three to five rears... they want $30 per tire here off the bike so easy math for me. Oh and don't forget to bring the 20% off coupons...

They will usually stack coupons. You can google a 20% coupon. It wont scan but if the person is cool theyll take it.

Go to a store and look in the back 20 pages or so of Motorcyclist magazine. They were putting one in there for a while. Buying a $5 magazine to save $20+ is a fair trade. You should have also seen if they had any copies of their monthly sale circular in the store when you were there. They have also been putting one on the front page for a while.

True story.

Got 3k on my corsa III's

I've got almost 4k on my PP's, should get 4500-5k.

Thinking I'm going road 2's next, I can't afford all the tires!

So Gas... in your infinite wrenching wisdom. For a guy changing rubber enough to make purchasing a changer worth while, what the HF rig quality enough or no?

Well its hf. Tt shud be nuff said on quality. It will do the trick but its not a "no mar". The metal rim clamps, metal bead brake are all obviously needed mods. But that has been stated already.

My biggest issue. Its rather large and heavy (~75#). and unlike my sportbike friends here. I have 11k on my rear tire now. I fully expect to do another k or 2 on it. Not bald yet, gettin close though.

So do the math for me. I just don't think its worth it. Even if I understand what ur all saying on finding the 20% off coupon. Plus as wifey said, look at a small price to keep up relations and biz with local shop. Going today to check with small local shop tt usually does my mounting. See what prices he has on a new rear with mounting. I will normally even pay slightly more to help the local guy.

I 90% closed on not getting a changer.
