I actually had to go out and pull a stick off of the tree once. Only took the one time.

I never had to do that...but I know my parents did. The leather belt was frequent though.

If I was forced to cut my own switch whenever it was time to be punished, our orchard out back would be just a bunch of tree trunks now.

The most common sound in my household growing up, was the sound of a belt clearing belt loops.

My dad used to make us go get his belt before he beat us with it. Efficient.
