Don't worry. We actually ran out of oil in 1983, so it's a moot point.

Just paid 3.93 at the cheap station.. cost 56$ to fill up the Monte Carlo, it only gets 27mpg.. I sure do miss my 40mpg civic..
Should probably add that I drive 75+ miles a day and i spend 55+$ every 5 days. ugh..

3.99 here today. This makes it a bit more difficult to make extra money as a pizza delivery guy on my second job. Keeping a close eye on the spreadsheet to determine if it's really worth the time spent.

For some reason there's this one Shell station in a shitty area that wants 4.19 for regular. The station right across the street, Valero, is 3.95.
Saw a few stations at 4.03 and 4.05 as well. Shit sucks!

So why is there such a big discrepancy in price (in general)? We just hit $3.65 and I think we are around the nat'l avg. Some of you guys are already at $4 gal?

In ny its actualy more in NYC, which I find weird since taxes are worse out here in the burbs, but it seems like us and prtcl are paying similar prices and we live quite far apart. Dubbs and I are on the same sandbar so th eprices seem to be rather consistant throughout the island. |
