Analog gauges are good for the street IMO. You don't have to look at them directly to know your speed. Digital you have to directly glance at it.
Maybe digital gauges allow for lighter weight (key for sport bikes) while other classes can keep a the ole needle for design aesthetic. maybe....I'm not an expert on these things you know |

I would say only 10-20% of analogs are good-looking, or quickly readable at speed.
With most pre-digital sportbikes, most of their speedos were so small that you had to squint to tell if you were going 72 or 78. The needle blocked half of the space between 70 and 80. That's why I prefer digitals. |
