He's a rolling dinner bell, with the meal served up on a plate. Rider or not I'll be getting my ass in a cage, when the zombie apocalypse comes

Ideally you could have a cage (preferably something tough enough to withstand plowing through them, or keep them out if you find yourself surrounded) and a dirtbike on standby for quick escapes across terrain that wouldn't allow passage by larger vehicles (like that highway full of dead cars).
I mean, yeah, we all want to keep our arsenal & supplies with us, but you have to think that sometimes you might have to run away and hope you can come back and recover your stuff later.

At least something with a quieter exhaust and on and offroad capability.

Oh, you just wait and see. Hollywood will have him doing berm jumps, before they're done. Choppers do that, don't they?

I am sure he can jump a berm with one, as for sticking the landing, that remains to be seen

I might load up a dirtbike, but I suck at riding dirt anyway. I'd be pimpin' some big 4WD somethingorother, with chains and spikes and shit all over it.

Oh, and 24" spinners with blades, like a Roman chariot. Trees, zombies, cannibals.... fuck 'em all up.

Driving to the nearest RV dealership and picking up a new Winnie wouldn't be a bad idea. Hell, they're all along I-75.

And throw some armour on those damned windows!

*EDIT* Oh, and I finally watched it last night. Cut your losses and shoot the blonde, and the mother with the short hair. Either one will eventually get you all killed.

Thats a good idea too. I would think by scavanging all those cars they would find more stuff than they could haul, or at least stuff that hasnt been picked at by others.

I would stick it out in my house for a while to see how we fare, as we are sort of rural, and most of the homeowners in my neighborhood own several weapons, so I think we'd have more living people than zombies. I also have a bit of natural barrier behind our property and the adjoining ones. Would place most focus to the front of the house and have several good vantage points to pick off zombies with my rifles.

As for the animals - very doubtful they would explain, as they haven't even explained the origin of the zombie 'infection'.
