See that is different....she knows how to work something on two wheels already.

We bought our Ninja before I took MSF, but it was our 'other' vehicle at the time so we were going to ride whether we liked it or not.

I laid my bike down twice the first day I had it. First time ever touching the controls of a bike. My dads says, "here is the clutch, break, and throttle. Take it around the building." Down I went after the second turn.

Um no offense to your father but I think that I can do a little bit better in the training dept than that!

It was pretty funny like a few weeks later. I was pretty irritated at him for that for quite a while. He just thought after watching him that the dangers of target fixation would have been transmitted to me through osmosis...he was very wrong.

from experience, we try and keep spouses apart during class. the riding one can and is usually determental to new riders. esp. one's that have never ridden before or have very little exp. w/ bikes.

the prob. is that alot of people project their experiences onto these new riders. we have some that i don't think could ride a bicycle let alone a motorcycle. and alot of you guys have alot of bike experience before taking the course, alot of these younger ricer kids (and women) have never shifted a car, let alone rode a bike(motorcycle, i've had some that have never ridden a bicycle, CRAZY) , but they are hell bent on getting a 600SS bike.

here's a STAT, +/- 90% of motorcycle deaths are people taught by family and friends vs a course.

No but he did decide that I had to learn to drive on his truck and not my mom's car. He claims that if I can drive that truck, I can drive anything.

He still complains about having to teach me to drive that truck. In fact he made a comment about it on Facebook today.
