So you can get two sportbikes on a 7' wide trailer with no problem ? I need a trailer but planned to get at least a 5' x 8' if I decided to go with an open trailer.

The hf trailers are 4x8 and you can get 2 bikes on there, its a little tight and takes a little effort but I have done it numerous times with no issues.

I may take a look at them as well as a few others. A friend and I owned a 5' x 8' Utility trailer several years ago with rails and it worked great but someone lifted it from us and just 'assumed' I had to go with one at least 5' wide for two bikes.

Enclosed is what I really want...6' x 10' or so but my wants are starting to outweigh my wallet.

Why wouldn't they fit side by side? I can easily fit two bikes in the back of a truck and its only a 5 foot wide bed

They would fit but it would be tight and I hate loading that tight if I can help it. Besides, I really wanted to keep the tongue weight down. I tried a couple different configurations before I settled on this set-up.

Before with a truck 5' bed,

Both forward with GF's bike back 2',

Again, finished product,

5' minus space for the wheel wells. Anyway, I've fit 3 bikes in a truck bed, not all sport bikes, but its possible, just really tight.

Trailer does look pimptastic. I am always scared of a bike backwards though, I keep getting the mental image of the wind shield catching air and flying off. Not even sure if its possible.

Um....

I've hauled quite a few bikes backwards without incident. Anything is possible though...

I may still go back to hers 2' back from mine because I think that it looks cool!

Because of the axle location, I really wanted to place the heaviest part of her bike on the back, so....

I always worry that it will "jump out" of the chock when I hit the brakes.... Of course, if that were possible then the same would be true of acceleration....
