We have a most excellent chinese buffet that has fresh sushi & wasabi on the bar. I get two plates: 1 is slammed with sushi & the other a variety of items from the buffet. One a good day, there's very little left.

Damnit, now I want to go there for lunch tomorrow but it' going t have to wait until Friday. Mental note to self: don't over eat on Thanksgivng.

I'm the same way. There's an excellent buffet about an hour from here that's 20 bucks a head. They have amazing sushi, and a bunch of it. I used to go there, get a plate of Sushi and then a plate of some other stuff (they have good chinese food too) and then alternate out until I felt sick. Now, I go with three or four plates of sushi and just kind of glance at everything else.

For now though, it's turkey, cheese, bacon, and cranberry sauce sammich. Not sushi, but not a bad alternative.

$20 a pop? My place is like $8 (including drink) for lunch & $10 for dinner. It's about $12 on Sundays.

And that is why you need all that wasabi...
Good sushi doesn't need a bunch of 'stuff' on it

I could eat sushi rolls till I pop, and still want more. My personal favorite, and the sushi-philes might cringe but they can go fuck a goat for all i care, is the salmon, tuna, cream cheese, and avacado rolls. Different places around here call it different names, but I call it fucking delicious. Just give me 50 pieces and I'll figure out how to roll around for the rest of the day.
I like those too, Corey.
Truth is, if it's really fresh, I like sashimi... but I do like some of the more exotic (read: Americanized) rolled sushi as well.
If you get over to Dallas some time, you need to get Charlie & Cass to take you to the sushi place they took Adam and myself.
The rolls are wild and the variety of flavors and textures is amazing.

Bah...I can't tell the difference between the $25 plate at Tokyo Steakhouse & my $8 buffet when it comes to the tuna rolls. I'm from Louisiana....everthing has to have a hot/spicy something added to it.

Now just wait a damn minute. I live 5 hours from Cass & would be more apt to make a trip that way & you don't give me the suggestion???

I feel no love
