Heavy Heart
It is with great sadness that I make this post.
Learned today that a very good friend passed away last night due to complications after a routine surgery. I still can't believe this is happening and I feel like I'm going to wake up at any moment from this sick dream. Of all the ways to die.....I've always expected this call would be about a riding accident. I've been fortunate enough to have known very few people who have passed away from riding. this just sucks. |

So sorry.....losing a friend is terrible....especially THAT way.
You're in my thoughts and prayers

Sorry Kell
I lost a friend a couple of months ago to cancer. I don't know if it would have been worse if it had happened suddenly, but it still has an unreal quality about it.

Sympathies and condolences for you and the family. Keep it all in perspective and enjoy each day accordingly. Life is fleeting...

Sorry to hear.
Any details ? I only ask since it was 'routine' surgery. |

Thanks all.
He had shoulder surgery from an injury he suffered at work a few months back. Told the nurses he didn't feel well after the surgery but they sent him home anyways. At home, his father went to check on him and found him unresponsive and foaming at the mouth. Called 911 and started to perform CPR but it was too late. I'm still in shock. He was only 36 and I'd just spoken to him yesterday. His last status update on facebook (totally typical of him): hahaha. so I'm laying on the bed and a nurse comes and puts a sheet on me. I say " I'm not cold thanks" and she says " its not for cold it because your flashing all the nurses" bahahahahahahaha. I still can't believe this is happening. Feels like a cruel joke. |
