Bikers Across America 04/20/08
Well had a successful ride yesterday.. put 300 miles on the bike.. perfect weather..
started in Hell, MI and ended up in Vermontville, MI - yeah i know where the fuck is Vermontville, MI - its in the middle of nowhere just west of Lansing. there were a shitload of bikes out yesterday.. a few different clubs were in attendance - some that I know of were Grand Rapids Rough Riders, Detroit Sport bikes and Wide Open Sportbikes.. there is another ride in the works - a charity ride to help out a recent fallen rider.. i will post up the details when i have them.. I would post pics but can't get it to work no matter what I do..

Well I am talking with Bonnie, one of the organizers, right now about a charity ride that is going to be like Hell to OT - which is a little more manageable ride.. its going to go to help one of the riders from the Sunday ride who got broadsided in Jackson on Sunday night.. I guess he and his girlfriend were in critical condition.. they were hit by a drunk driver in a truck on his bike.. word is tonight that he has feeling in his toes, is breathing on his own and is talking to people so he is doing much better.. no word on the girlfriend though.. so medical bills are going to mount up quick even if there is a lawsuit that could take years to settle, etc.

i will for sure.. i actually will have to email bon because our forum is temporarily out of commission.. i am sure it will be in the next 2-4 weeks.. i am sure it will be as big or bigger and a few improvements to the last ride.. first off not going all the way to vermontville - going to start in hell and end up at OT's which is a more manageable ride.. and could leave time after to tear it up on the loop.. by the time the hell-vermontville ride was done it was a miserable 90+ mile ride down 96 and was late as hell after a 10am start (well we started at 10am and did the loop a bit then met the main ride at 1:45pm)..
